Balancing between meanings, the Type collection fuels the studio’s exploration of perception and equilibrium. The lines that outline the various elements of the collection shift from straight to curved, guiding the eye and creating elegant variations that at times seem to defy gravity. The design evokes a form of primordial writing, thereby defining a system of signs that coordinates and articulates into a language. The project references humanity’s primal approach to writing, alluding to the tools used, the details, and finally the signs themselves—archetypes that have shaped our modern language. The collection is designed to define private or public relaxation areas, from poolside lounges to formal gardens and large terraces.
