The fascination for Asian culture is a recurring theme in our design research, from the pop scene to food, we often go towards East to search for harmonies and contrasts, looking for similarities with our Mediterranean culture, always driven by our background as architects. Japanese architecture is capable of enhancing space in a particular way, intrinsically it prefers what is not there, a void outlined by precise rules, behaviors, gestures. The Japanese tea room, built on the precise geometry of the tatami, represents the formal purity par excellence of Japanese architecture. Inspired by the spatial concept of the tatami and its strong graphic nature, Madori is a collection that plays on the proportions of the tatami, reinterpreting its texture with bold colors, inspired by traditional Japanese colors, such as red, the color of purity and blue color of fidelity and life. The result conveys a warm and lively minimalism.

Dialogue is the foundation of our practice, for both art direction and product design. It allows us to engage with cultural narratives and audience perceptions, crafting visuals that resonate deeply. In product design, dialogue means anticipating user needs, ensuring seamless integration into daily life. When these disciplines intersect, aesthetics and functionality merge, creating meaningful and user-centric designs. Concept is essential to our approach, guiding observation, abstraction, and relation. The balance between presence and absence defines simplicity and elegance, ensuring that every element serves a purpose.
Meaning emerges through thoughtful material choices and user experience. This fusion transforms products into narratives, where form and interaction communicate deeper values. Finally, awareness drives our work, ensuring cultural and environmental responsibility. Art direction considers social impact, while product design focuses on sustainability. Together, they create ethical, aesthetically compelling designs that align with contemporary values.
